Poutine & Tri-Tip Dip at the Dive in Richland – April 7, 2026

We ended up on an impromptu date night with limited time, so I wanted something nearby, quick, and satisfying. The Dive in Richland fit the bill. It’s tucked in North Richland’s Horn Rapids Business Park and felt like a good, low-key spot to squeeze a great meal into a busy evening.

What I Ordered

  • Main Entrée: Poutine & Tri Tip Dip
  • Side Entrée: Tomato Bisque

The Experience

The service was great and the place had a good crowd for the early evening.  The setting had a good vibe and the food is legit — casual, comfortable, and perfect for a quick date night.

What Stood Out

The flavors were on point. The poutine delivered everything you want: golden fries with a salty, crunchy edge, melty cheese curds, and a rich gravy that held it together without drowning the fries. It hit that balance of comfort and technique.

The Tri Tip Dip, which might be a bougie French Dip, surprised me in a good way. The beef had a smoky, savory depth and was tender enough to pull apart easily. It was combined with caramelized onions and cheese that melted into the meat, making each bite substantial without being greasy. The au jus had a clean beefy note that made dipping worthwhile.

The tomato bisque was creamy, slightly tangy, and smooth — a comforting contrast to the richer main dishes. A few spoonfuls between bites refreshed the palate and tied the meal together. All in all, it definitely hit the spot.

Would I Get It Again?

Yes. I’d get both the poutine and tri tip dip again in a heartbeat. For an impromptu date night with limited time, this combo was flavorful, quick, and satisfying without feeling like a compromise.
