Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box at Sushi Ya in Kennewick – August 29, 2025

The bonus daughter invited me to lunch, and we decided on Sushi Ya in Kennewick. It’s close to the office, which makes it a convenient spot for a midday meal. Sushi Ya is one of those places that always seems to be buzzing during lunch, and this visit was no exception.

The Experience

The service was excellent, especially considering how busy they were. The staff moved quickly while still making sure tables were taken care of. The lunch rush was definitely in full swing, but the pace added to the energy rather than taking away from it.

What Stood Out

• The Bento Box: The spicy chicken teriyaki was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Having all the classic sides—rice, salad, and a few other small bites—rounded it out perfectly.
• The Sushi Rolls: Sushi Ya is known for its rolls, and they looked every bit as good as they tasted. They’re fresh, colorful, and a big part of what makes this place a draw.
• The Ambiance: The restaurant had that crisp lunch business energy. It was full but well-organized, which made for a smooth dining experience.

Would I Get It Again?

I’d definitely get this again. Between the generous bento portions, the solid sushi selection, and the quick service even when busy, Sushi Ya remains a reliable go-to for lunch in Kennewick.
