Wings at Wingstop – July 10 2009

The Wing Stop located at 121 Gage Blvd. in Richland, WA was my target last night for delicious chicken wings. Now, you might say to yourself, “Self, why is the Wingstop on Shot And A Beer?” Because they happen to serve bottled beer. That’s close enough for government work.

So I get to the Wingstop, walk through the door and get in line. The line moved pretty quickly and I was able to place my order pretty quickly. I asked for the “hottest wings you’ve got”. She tells me no problem, it’ll be 14 minutes. Not 13 minutes, not 15 minutes….. 14 minutes. That’s fine. I know wings take a little extra time to cook.

Fourteen minutes later I hear my name called out and I go pick up my Atomic wings. They looked promising. I caught a whiff of the spice, smelled promising. Long story short, they were good. I didn’t order a beverage so I had nothing to cool down the burn. I just wanted to see if I could make it through an entire order without needing a drink. I did.

I’m not sure if I’d order the Atomic wings again (probably will). When I order “hot wings” I like them to make go through five or six beverages when I eat them. They have other flavors on the menu, all of which have potential. So here is where I tell you that you should all go to Wingstop and give them a shot. I’ll bet you’ll like them.
